
Very tasty kutya
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Be sure to choose cleaned and polished wheat, as other types take much longer to cook and are not as tasty. In many regions, people make a liquid kutya, but try preparing kutya using this recipe. The ready dessert can be served immediately.

1. Rinse the wheat several times under cold running water until the water runs clear. Place in a colander to drain.

2. Pour two glasses of water over the wheat, cover with a lid, and place over heat to bring to a boil. After boiling, add a teaspoon of salt. Drain the cooked grain in a colander.

3. Pour 70 ml of water into the poppy seeds, cover with a lid, and place over low heat. When the water is absorbed, add another half cup of water. Simmer for 30 minutes, until almost all the water has evaporated.

4. Chop the walnuts with a knife. Transfer them to a heavy-bottomed skillet and lightly toast. Then rub the walnuts by hand to remove the skins.

5. Pour boiling water over the raisins to soak them.

6. Once the poppy seeds have soaked, transfer them to a mortar, add some sugar, and grind them until they release poppy milk.

7. Combine the wheat cereal, poppy seeds, raisins, and nuts, mix well. Add honey.
