Very simple croissant recipe
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. These rolls aren't overly airy—in fact, quite the opposite: they have such an ideal texture that they turn out perfectly balanced between moist and dry. For the best dough, I recommend using high-fat cottage cheese, blending it with a mixer if desired. As a filling, you can use jam, chocolate pieces, poppy seeds, or a cottage cheese mixture. You can decorate the pastries with chocolate, coconut flakes, powdered sugar, or syrup—your choice. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

2. Add the baking powder, flour, and knead until you get a soft, elastic dough. Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll out each on a floured surface into a 1 cm thick layer.

3. Cut the dough sheet into 16 triangles, place a portion of jam on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the triangles into croissant shapes and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
