
Classic cottage cheese casserole
Description
This casserole can serve as a treat after a festive dinner, an afternoon snack, or breakfast. Thanks to the cottage cheese content, the baked dish is not only delicious but also healthy, rich in calcium and other vitamins. When serving, you can sprinkle the regular casserole with powdered sugar and decorate it with berries, prepare a chocolate glaze, or simply serve it with sour cream. The casserole should be eaten cooled.

1. First, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Put the whites in the refrigerator, and place the yolks in a bowl. Add granulated sugar and beat until dissolved. Add semolina and baking powder, then let it sit for 20 minutes. Then mix the mixture with mashed cottage cheese.

2. Take out the chilled egg whites, add a pinch of salt, and beat them until stiff peaks form.

3. Gently combine the cottage cheese mixture with the whipped egg whites, folding gently from the bottom up with a spatula. Line the baking pan with parchment paper, transfer the batter into it, and place the sliced pieces of butter on top.
