Chickpeas in a multicooker
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I often use a multicooker to cook chickpeas, as it allows me to focus on other household tasks while waiting for the sound signal. You can use all the cooked chickpeas immediately, or portion some into bags and store them in the freezer. Such a prepared batch will come in handy whenever you have a tight schedule. This versatile ingredient can be used to make a wide variety of dishes: soups, hummus, pilaf, stews, appetizers, cutlets, falafel, salads, or simply served as a healthy side dish. Keep this recipe in mind. The ready dish can now be served.

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.

Step 2

Place the chickpeas in a deep bowl and cover with water.

Leave for 10-12 hours; I leave it overnight. During this time, the chickpeas will absorb the water, significantly reducing the cooking time.

Step 4

Drain the remaining water and thoroughly rinse the chickpeas.

Step 5

Transfer the chickpeas to the multicooker bowl and pour in water. Set the "Stewing" mode. After selecting the "Stewing" mode, cook the chickpeas in the multicooker for 90 minutes. When the beep sounds, open the lid and taste. If the chickpeas are not soft enough, set the "Stewing" mode for another 30 minutes.
