New Year's candy cake

The recipe won't take much time. Making the New Year's candy cake "Surprise" is quite simple—you can prepare it as a gift for children or even make it together with them; this activity will bring festive mood and pleasant emotions. You can make the cake in any shape and size, either single or double-layered, square or round—everything depends on your imagination. You can use any candies, but make sure their wrappers are bright, so that the cake turns out truly festive and cheerful. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Step 1
To create a candy cake, you need to prepare a base made of thick paper or cardboard in advance. I made the base for a two-tiered cake using cardboard (the bottom tier has a diameter of 20 cm, the top tier—14 cm). In the center of the cake, I placed a gift for my little son beforehand. The base of the bottom tier should be made sturdier to support the weight of the gift.

Choose any candies your child likes or the person to whom you are going to present the cake.

For decoration, you will need various ribbons, beads, and tinsel. Also, have double-sided tape on hand to attach the candies to the cake base.

So, attach a strip of double-sided tape to the lower tier of the cake and stick the candies. Repeat the same procedure for the upper tier. On top, attach a few candies using the same double-sided tape.

Now decorate the cake as you wish. I attached a beautiful snowflake because it's a New Year's cake, and tied a pretty bow using festive wrapping ribbon.
