New Year's Set for the Festive Table for the Year of the Dragon
Description
The appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. The festive atmosphere of joy and magic creates unforgettable impressions. Setting up a New Year's table takes time and effort that not everyone can spare before the holidays. Along with creating a cozy New Year's mood, don't forget about the treats—they should be delicious and refined. I suggest making a New Year's set for the festive table for the Year of the Dragon, shaped like this mysterious mythical creature. With minimal effort and expense, you'll have a bright, eye-catching appetizer on the table that everyone will notice. Take note. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any of your favorite snack foods. You will also need 2–3 slices of bread for croutons and 2–3 potatoes to make French fries, but you can buy them already prepared.
- 2
Step 2

Trim the crusts off the bread and cut the crumb into triangles. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin sticks.
- 3
Step 3

Briefly dip the sliced bread pieces in vegetable oil for a few seconds, then rub them with salt and pressed garlic. Transfer the potatoes to a deep bowl, add paprika, salt to taste, and 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Mix.

Step 4

Place the potatoes and croutons on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180–200°C until done. Convection mode works best. Alternatively, fry the croutons in a skillet and the potatoes in a deep fryer until golden and crisp on top. You can choose whichever option you prefer.

Step 5

It is best to arrange snack products on a special rectangular serving board or on a flat plate of a suitable size. It is best to start with sliced sausages, marking out the head of the future dragon.
- 6
Step 6

Next, using ready-made snacks, continue building the head with its mouth open. Here you can use sliced sausages, croutons of different sizes, chips, and nuts or pistachios — let your imagination guide you completely.
- 7
Step 7

I carved the dragon’s teeth from carrots; for the eye I also used carrot and sliced olive. Arrange the triangular crackers to imitate spikes, and the french fries will be the flame of the fiery dragon.

Step 8

The New Year's set for the holiday table for the Year of the Dragon is ready. You can decorate the head with a piece of bell pepper, cutting a figure out of it with a sharp knife, and complement the appetizer with ketchup or any other favorite sauce to taste. And happy upcoming New Year!
