New Year's vol-au-vents with cheese and mushrooms

Description

Homemade baked goods for tea. I suggest making New Year's volovanes with cheese and mushrooms. The ingredient list is minimal, yet it turns out to be a very worthy snack! It will be appropriate not only for New Year's holidays but also for any other festive table. It is eaten almost instantly and with great pleasure. Be sure to keep this recipe for future reference. The filling can be as varied as you like; mine is quite simple, but no less tasty. Shall we try?

    Prepare all the ingredients. Thaw the dough in advance at room temperature.

    Roll out the dough into a sheet, 5–7 mm thick, and cut circles with a glass or shot glass of suitable size. From half of the circles cut out rings, slightly smaller in diameter as shown in the photo.

    Combine the remaining dough, roll it out and cut out a few more batches. Stack the pieces on top of each other and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Brush with egg yolk.

    Bake at 200 °C for about 10 minutes. Let the finished vol‑au‑vents cool.

    For the filling, combine grated cheese, garlic pressed through a press, and mayonnaise.
