
Norwegian rice cream
Description
For cooking rice porridge, the rice must be short-grain. Only this type creates a creamy consistency. The porridge can be cooked either in water or in milk. Strawberries can be replaced with cherries or raspberries.

Prepare the necessary ingredients to make the dessert.

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the rinsed rice.

Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir and cook the rice until a thick porridge forms. The rice should become soft. Then let the cooked rice porridge cool down.

For the berry filling, cut the strawberries into pieces and mix with sugar and starch. You can add a little water. Place over heat and bring to a boil. Stir continuously. The filling will become slightly thickened. Let it cool.

Combine the cream with powdered sugar and whip into a light, thick cream.
