Description

The recipe won't take much time. You can freeze the prepared ingredients at the cutting stage and store them in the freezer. It's best to serve this dish with sour cream or sauces; for adults, serve with garlic sauce or sauces like "Churrasco," "Aioli," etc. Serve hot.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Wash the potatoes in their skins under water, then boil or bake for 30-40 minutes and let cool slightly so you can peel them.

    Peel the potato tubers and rinse them in water. Mash with a fork in a deep plate. Add one or more egg yolks, depending on the size of the chicken eggs. Add salt, ground black pepper, and ground thyme. Thoroughly mash everything again with a fork for 3-4 minutes.

    Add the wheat flour, setting aside 1-2 tablespoons for rolling out the dough. Knead the potato dough.

    Shape the dough into small sausages, rolling them in flour.

    Slice them into pieces about 1-1.5 cm thick, but no more, as they will soften further during cooking.

    Bring water to a boil in a saucepan or pot; optionally, you can add aromatic spices and seasonings to it. Add the dumplings one by one and cook for about 5–8 minutes until done. The gnocchi will float to the surface and increase in size.
