
Nuremberg gingerbread
Description
Ideal with tea and coffee. Nuremberg gingerbread turns out aromatic, crumbly, and healthy. The pastry is rich and, of course, caloric. But a small piece is enough for tea time. Try it—very tasty.

Prepare the ingredients.

In a bowl, pour in the powdered sugar and add the egg.

Whisk with a mixer until foamy.

Add ground almonds or almond flour.

Add candied fruit.

Add the chopped almond.

Add orange zest, ground ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix everything.

Transfer the dough into the pan and spread it evenly. Bake at 180 °C for 10–12 minutes.

For the glaze, combine powdered sugar with lemon juice and stir. Add the juice gradually so that the consistency does not become too liquid.

The gingerbread is ready. Let it cool, then transfer it to a plate and coat it with icing.
