
Nuremberg-style baked pork
Description
For this dish, you can use any boneless cut of pork. Don't worry about the large amount of onions—they will almost completely turn into a sauce during cooking. If you don't like prunes, replace them with dried apricots and adjust the salt to your taste.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Mix the paprika and salt. Rub the meat with part of the mixture and let it sit for 6 hours.

Cut the meat into 0.5 cm thick slices.

Chop the onion coarsely.

Grease the baking dish with oil. Layer the meat and onion alternately. Sprinkle the meat with the remaining paprika and salt mixture.

Add the chopped prunes, pepper, and cloves. Pour in the beer.

Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 90 minutes. Baste the meat with the resulting liquid every 20 minutes. Then add bay leaf and grated garlic, and cook for another 10 minutes.
