Description
Stollen is made with an abundance of candied fruits, dried berries, dried fruits, nuts, and poppy seeds. You can use all the ingredients or just a few. Decorate the finished pastry with powdered sugar, then serve. It can be shaped into a round loaf or a roll. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

1. Place raisins, almonds, candied fruit, finely chopped ginger, nutmeg, seeds from a vanilla pod, and rum into a bowl, mix well, and let stand overnight. After the required time, drain everything through a sieve.

2. Mix warm milk, yeast, and honey, then add 1/3 of the flour, cover with a towel, and let stand for 1 hour. In the bowl of a mixer, beat the eggs. In a separate bowl, combine 140 grams of room-temperature butter with a pinch of salt until fluffy.

3. Slowly pour the eggs into the oil mixture in a thin stream, while continuously whisking.

4. Add the remaining flour and the yeast mixture.

5. Attach the dough hook and knead for about 5-7 minutes, or knead by hand for 15 minutes.

6. Add the previously prepared mixture of spices and fruits to the dough, mix well.

7. Place the dough from the bowl onto a floured surface and divide it into 2 parts.

8. Stretch each piece of dough by hand, then shape as needed and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9. Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it rise for 1 hour.

10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40–45 minutes. Remove the baked goods from the oven and place them in a bowl or pot, brush with a piece of butter, then flip over and brush the other side with butter. Repeat the process with the second baked item until all the butter is used up.
