German pretzels
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I'd like to point out that in this case, pretzels are perfect as an accompaniment to soups, beer or sausages, and can also be served with a sauce of your choice or, for example, mustard. However, if desired, you can always make these little buns sweet to treat the kids. The process itself is simple and quite enjoyable, so I highly recommend trying this recipe at home. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. First, you need to make the dough. This part is quite standard: dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm water with added sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then add the remaining water, salt, and sifted flour. Knead the dough, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

Step 2

2. Once the dough has risen, place it on the work surface, divide into 8-10 equal parts. Roll them into balls and let them rise for another 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

3. Then, roll each ball into a thin rope and shape it into a pretzel as shown.

Step 4

4. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the prepared pretzels on it. Let them rise for about half an hour so the dough rises again.
