Crumb pie with pumpkin and orange
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Making a layered crumble pie with pumpkin and orange is very simple. In this recipe, there is no need to knead or roll out the dough; you only need to sprinkle the filling with a dry mixture. The pie turns out tender and juicy. With a pleasant pumpkin flavor and orange aroma, serve it cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the pumpkin on a fine grater and squeeze out the juice. Transfer it to a deep bowl, add sugar (100 grams), vanillin, the orange pulp cut into cubes, and its zest grated on a fine grater.
- 3
Step 3

Mix everything well. The filling is ready.
- 4
Step 4

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mix and add the frozen butter grated on a coarse grater. Mix everything again until a crumbly flour mixture forms.
- 5
Step 5

Grease a baking dish with butter (you can line the bottom with parchment paper). Pour in 2/3 of the dry mixture and level it out.
- 6
Step 6

Spread the filling evenly on top, trying not to press it down too much.
- 7
Step 7

And the final layer is the remaining dry mixture; spread it out evenly as well. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 45–50 minutes, until golden brown.
- 8
Step 8

The crumble pie with pumpkin and orange is ready. Leave the pie in the turned-off oven for another 20 minutes. The pie is very fragile and delicate; it can be served warm, but I liked it better cooled down.

Step 9

Cut into portions and serve.
