Authentic manty
Description
It is believed that manty originated in China and came to Asia, where they are called baozi or "rolls." They are very similar to dumplings, but authentic manty are made with lamb and onion, while dumplings can be made with any meat. Also, an essential requirement when preparing this dish is the technique for preparing the lamb mince. The mince should not be ground in a meat grinder; it must be finely chopped by hand with a knife. The dough is a simple unleavened one, and the key is to knead it thoroughly. Potatoes are not included in the original recipe, but I add one potato to make the manty softer.
