Cherry tincture on vodka
Description
You can use any berries for preparation, but it's better to use seasonal ones when they are the sweetest, ripest, and juiciest. That way, they will fully impart their flavor and aroma. It's also important to choose high-quality vodka without impurities or off-flavors. This liqueur will keep well for a long time—if, of course, you don't invite friends over to taste it. The drink is ready to serve.

1. Remove stems, tails, and leaves from the cherries, rinse them thoroughly, and drain in a colander to remove excess liquid. Distribute the cherries evenly between two 3-liter jars.

2. Add 500 grams of granulated sugar to each jar and pour in 250 milliliters of vodka. Shake the jar to mix well, then leave it in a warm, dark place for 6-7 days.

Step 3

3. After steeping, strain the mixture from each jar through a sieve to ensure no pits end up in the liqueur. Add the remaining sugar and vodka.

Step 4

4. Place the pot with all the ingredients over heat, warm and stir until the sugar dissolves, then strain through cheesecloth again. Let the resulting infusion stand for another 24 hours, then confidently pour it into bottles and serve.
