Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. To ensure a great taste, carefully remove the zest and avoid including the white part in the infusion. Keep this recipe in mind. Serve chilled.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Place the lemons in a bowl and pour boiling water over them; let sit for 20 minutes. This is necessary to remove the wax. Afterwards, remove the lemons from the water and dry them thoroughly.

Zest one lemon using your preferred method, avoiding the white part, and squeeze out the juice.

Combine water, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Place over heat and simmer for 5 minutes after boiling. Foam will form during boiling—remove it until completely gone.

Afterwards, remove from heat and cool.

Zest the remaining 4 lemons. Peel them, remove the membranes, and cut the flesh into small pieces.

In a jar, mix all the prepared ingredients. Stir. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 5 days. Shake the jar daily for the first three days.

After the time has elapsed, filter the beverage. Line a fine sieve with cheesecloth folded into 8–10 layers and strain the infusion into a bowl.
