Description

The recipe won't take much time. Almost no celebration goes by without alcoholic drinks. Today you can easily buy any drink at a supermarket, but can you be sure of its quality? A blackcurrant tincture will be a great addition to any festive table. It's made from blackcurrant berries, sugar, and alcohol. Besides blackcurrants, you can use absolutely any berries: rowanberries, raspberries, strawberries. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the berries. It's best to drink the tincture chilled. 1. First, prepare the berries: pour them onto a sieve, sort them, removing damaged ones from the ripe ones, then thoroughly rinse under running water. Be sure to remove all twigs. 2. Pour water into a container (preferably a saucepan) and add sugar. Place on heat and bring to a boil. 3. As soon as the mixture boils, add the berries. Stir and bring to a boil again. Keep boiling for 3 minutes, then remove from heat. 4. Mash the berries using a masher. Leave the mixture to cool. 5. Mix the cooled blackcurrant mass with vodka. Then pour everything into a container (a jar), close with a lid, and let it infuse in a warm, dark place for about 20 days. Every two or three days, take the container and shake it. This is necessary to ensure all ingredients mix well and do not settle at the bottom. 6. After this time, strain the tincture through gauze, pour into sterile containers (bottles), and seal with corks. Store in a cool, dark place. Ready to serve.
