Raisin tincture on moonshine
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The infusion can be stored for about 1 year, but after 20–25 days it must be strained to remove the raisins. Store the beverage in a dark and cool place. You can use any type of raisins, and honey can be substituted with sugar. The drink is ready to serve.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can use any type of raisins, as well as any type of honey.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the raisins in water and place them into a prepared container. It is easiest to steep the drink in a regular 0.5-liter jar. You can also use a 1-liter jar, but never use a plastic bottle!
- 3
Step 3

Place the honey on the raisins. Do not use buckwheat honey, as it is slightly bitter and will impart bitterness to the drink.

Step 4

Add star anise, pour in high-quality moonshine, and close the jar with a lid. Shake thoroughly to dissolve the honey. Let it sit at room temperature in a dark place for 10–20 days, shaking every 2 days.

Step 5

After 10 days, the tincture will acquire a light caramel color. Taste it. If desired, strain it or leave it for another 10 days.

Step 6

Strain through a fine-mesh sieve or a double layer of cheesecloth.

Pour the raisin tincture into a decanter and serve.
