Count Razumovsky's Tincture
Description
1. Take half a liter of good-quality vodka. This is important, as the deep flavor of the tincture may otherwise be overpowered by the aftertaste of fusel oils. 2. To give the tincture its unique color and taste, use dried ingredients. 3. Take equal proportions of juniper berries, linden flowers, mint, and anise. Pour the dried herbs into a suitable container (preferably glass), then pour in the vodka. 4. Place the mixture in a cool, dark place and let it steep for 21 days. During this time, the vodka will extract all the beneficial substances from the ingredients and change color, resembling that of aged cognac. 5. After three weeks, take the tincture, strain it into another container, then add ginger and a little sugar. Leave it for a couple more days in a dark place to settle, then filter through gauze. The tincture is ready. Taste it and treat your friends. Enjoy the pleasant aftertaste.
