Cherry liqueur on vodka
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. If you prefer stronger beverages, I recommend making this liqueur in 0.7-liter jars. In that case, you might need slightly fewer cherries. If you like alcoholic drinks of medium strength, feel free to use 1-liter jars. Serve chilled.

Step 1

1. First, thoroughly rinse the berries. Pour vodka into a prepared clean jar. Then add the cherries. It is important that the vodka rises to the very top of the jar.

Step 2

2. This drink, in addition to its main flavor and divine aroma, has a pleasant bitterness provided by cherry pits. If you wish to enhance the bitterness, take out several pits (5-7) and crush them using a hammer. It's convenient to do this by first wrapping the pits in a plastic bag. Add the crushed pits to the jar with the future liqueur. Now tightly close the jar with a lid and let the liqueur infuse for 3 months in a dark place (at room temperature).

Step 3

3. After the required amount of time has passed, remove the jar and strain the infusion into another dry, clean jar. Add sugar and mix thoroughly. I would still recommend adding sugar gradually, a little at a time, tasting as you go, since everyone's taste preferences are different. The cherries that remain can easily be used in cooking, for example, in baking.

Step 4

4. Store the ready cherry liqueur made with vodka in a tightly sealed container in a cool place. Serve it chilled!
