Blackcurrant liqueur
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. To make this wonderful beverage, you'll need just a few ingredients and minimal effort. The only condition is that the vodka must be of the highest quality you can afford. Otherwise, the whole point of making the liqueur is lost :) You can make this liqueur from either black or red currants—each has its own merits, but the taste will be drastically different. Here's the recipe for currant liqueur: 1. Sort the currants, remove all leaves and stems, and rinse them. 2. Dry them on a towel. 3. Place them in a jar or container. 4. Add sugar. 5. Pour in vermouth and vodka. 6. Store in a dark place for 2 weeks. 7. Strain, pour into bottles, and seal. That's it! ;) This liqueur can be stored for a long time, though I doubt it will last long on your shelf. Serve chilled.
