Plum liqueur
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. The taste of warm summer, bright ruby color, and delightful aroma—this is all about plum liqueur. It is made in different countries using various recipes and ingredients. Making plum liqueur at home is quite simple. Here is one of the time-tested recipes for plum liqueur. 1. Use sweet-sour plums for the liqueur. Reneklode (Reine Claude) plums are excellent. Wash the ripe plums and, most importantly, remove the pits. 2. Place the plums into a jar, layering them with sugar. Do not fill the jar to the top. 3. Cover the jar with a clean, thick cloth and place it in the sun for 1–2 days. During this time, shake the jar periodically so that all the fruit is soaked in the juice released. 4. Pour vodka over the plums, tightly seal the jar with a lid, and place it in a cool, dark place for one month. 5. During this month, strain the liqueur from the fruit into another container and pour it back 3–4 times. 6. After a month, strain the liqueur and pour it into bottles. It's ready. Now just wait for a celebration or good company to taste it. Serve chilled.
