Cranberry liqueur
Description
I think many of you prefer homemade alcoholic drinks to store-bought ones, so I decided to share with you my recipe for cranberry liqueur. This is my favorite berry, and the liqueur turns out excellent—very smooth and not overly sweet, as sometimes happens. This cranberry liqueur recipe is quite simple, but since we're making it ourselves, you'll need to be patient, as the process isn't quick. However, in a couple of months, you can throw a grand party, invite your friends, and treat them to your own homemade liqueur. Serve it chilled.

Step 1

Let's begin. Place the cranberries into a 3-liter jar and mash them. Add sugar and alcohol, then pour in water until the jar is completely filled, and mix well. Cover the jars with plastic lids and leave them in a warm place for 1–2 months.

Step 2

After a month, you can continue the preparation. Place a double-layered gauze over the mouth of the jar and strain the liqueur through it.

Step 3

The process is quite laborious, as the gauze constantly gets clogged, requiring frequent squeezing, rinsing, and repositioning over the jar. After the liqueur has been strained, this procedure must be repeated three more times, this time folding the gauze into four layers.

Step 4

As a result, we should get approximately 2.5 liters of the finished drink.
