Filling for sandwiches
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. Fish filling for sandwiches—and tuna in particular—is widely used in Malta. When a family goes on a seaside picnic, the menu always includes tuna, white bread, and olive oil, plus tomato paste with garlic. My recipe is inspired by Maltese traditions; among ourselves, we call a fish-filled sandwich “European.” It can have many variations. Good luck—and serve with herbs and sauce.
