
Meat in wine
Description

Prepare the ingredients.

Sear the cubed meat in batches in a well-heated sauté pan with oil until a golden crust forms.

While the meat is browning, cut the onion into cubes and slice the carrot into 1-centimeter-thick rounds.

Cut the peppers into large pieces, slice the tomatoes and celery into thick rounds, and roughly chop the garlic.

Place the first portion of vegetables over the seared meat and mix. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring.

Add the remaining pepper, celery, garlic, and tomatoes. Sauté for a couple more minutes.

Pour in the wine, add rosemary. Season with salt to taste and add coarsely crushed black pepper. Simmer uncovered until the wine has reduced by half.

Pour in a glass of boiling water, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer the meat over low heat for about an hour and a half until tender.
