Meat in its own juice
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. If for some reason you cannot use an oven to cook this dish, you can use a stove instead. To do this, transfer all the ingredients into a thick-bottomed pot and place it on the stove to simmer for forty minutes. The heat should be kept at a minimum. To check if it's ready, see if the dish is done. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Step 1

Wash the beef and dry it with paper towels. Remove any tendons and membranes from the meat. Cut the meat into evenly sized, not too large pieces. Place the meat into a heatproof dish.

Step 2

Peel and wash the onion. Cut the vegetable into half-rings or slices. Place the onion on top of the meat in the dish.

Step 3

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into large cubes. If you are using young potatoes, peeling is optional. Add a little oil to the baking dish and season with salt.

Step 4

Wash the bell pepper and remove the seeds and core. Then cut the pepper into large pieces lengthwise. Add the vegetable to the other ingredients.

Step 5

Tomatoes should be peeled. To do this, make crosswise cuts on the tomatoes, pour boiling water over them, and remove the skin. Then cut the tomatoes into quarters and place them on top of the other vegetables.
