Meat stewed in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I once saw this special and simple recipe for oven-braised meat at my mom's friend's place. This dish is loved by everyone, even the pickiest eaters. The meat turns out juicy, tender, and aromatic. I really dislike when stewed meat turns mushy, but here it stays whole and looks very attractive. Try preparing this dish, and you'll definitely be satisfied with the result. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the meat and clean it of all unnecessary parts (bones, membrane, etc.), cut into pieces 4-6 cm in size, and place into a heat-resistant pot (without plastic handles!).
- 2
Step 2

Wash the tomatoes, slice them into wedges, and add to the pot with the meat.
- 3
Step 3

Pour beer over the meat, making sure it is completely covered. Cover the pot with a lid and place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, take an onion, slice it into half-rings, and fry in a pan greased with vegetable oil until translucent.
- 5
Step 5

Add the cleaned and sliced mushrooms to the onion. Fry them until the liquid evaporates and the mushrooms turn golden brown.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the peeled and sliced bell pepper to the pan. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Step 7

After an hour and a half, take the pot out of the oven and add the sautéed mushrooms and vegetables. Season the dish with a pinch of coriander, salt and pepper to taste. Cover with a lid and return to the oven for another 30 minutes.

Step 8

Voila, our dish is ready! I recommend serving it with mashed potatoes :)
