Uyghur-style meat
Description
1. First, heat vegetable oil in a kazan. This is a fairly simple Uyghur-style meat recipe, so if you don't have a kazan, you can use a heavy-bottomed skillet or a sauté pan. 2. Wash the beef, dry it, and cut into medium-sized pieces. Place in the kazan and sear over high heat until a crust forms. Then carefully remove the meat and set aside. 3. While the meat is cooking, peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop them and add to the kazan with the heated oil. 4. Wash the carrots, peel, and cut into thin strips. Wash the zucchini and cut into pieces. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper and slice into thin half-rings. 5. When the onion becomes translucent, add the vegetables one by one, lightly sautéing each. 6. Wash the tomato and scald it with boiling water. Peel off the skin and cut into medium pieces. 7. Add the tomato to the sautéed vegetables. 8. Return the meat to the kazan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 9. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat until fully cooked. Before serving, sprinkle the homemade Uyghur-style meat with fresh herbs.
