Beef Stroganoff with tomatoes and cheese
Description
For cooking, it's best to use neck or rib cuts; the cheese should melt well. Mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream or plain yogurt. Choose a firm, not overly large tomato so the slices are easier to arrange on top. I mix the cheese with mayonnaise to make it easier to spread over the meat and to prevent the crust from becoming too hard. If desired, French-style meat with tomatoes and cheese can be supplemented with potatoes, cut into strips or rounds. Garnish the finished dish with fresh herbs and serve immediately with a side dish.
