Filipino-style meat
Description
Filipino-style pork is amazing! It goes well with any side dish. You can fry or boil potatoes to go with it. Rice is also a great option. I don't have a fixed main side dish for it—I alternate. But I think Filipinos eat pork prepared this way specifically with rice. Be sure to read the recipe thoroughly before you start cooking. Some ingredients will be needed more than once, so don't use the entire portion all at once. :)
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the meat. Rinse it and cut into equal small pieces.

Step 2

Add soy sauce, black pepper, and minced garlic to the pork. Mix well. Place the meat into marinade bags or cover tightly with a lid. Marinate for an hour and a half.

Step 3

Heat a skillet, melt the butter in it, and add the pork. Simmer for 7 minutes until it changes color, turning the pieces occasionally.

Step 4

Add water, bay leaf, and vinegar. Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, and simmer over low heat for an hour.
- 5
Step 5

Place the pieces of pork in a colander, but pour the liquid back into the frying pan.

Place the pork pieces onto a heated pan with melted butter. Sear the pork on both sides until the pieces develop a crispy crust (approximately 10 minutes).

Step 8

Place the pork on a plate and pour the sauce over it. You can serve it now!
