Meat marinated in kefir
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The meat marinated in kefir turns out very tender and soft. And if you choose spices with a smoky aroma, the finished dish will be almost indistinguishable from a delicious summer kebab with a golden crispy crust. Meat in kefir goes perfectly with vegetables, potato wedges, or boiled rice. 1. Rinse the meat, dry it with a paper towel, and cut into medium-sized pieces. 2. Peel the onion and slice into rings about less than a centimeter thick. 3. In a large container, layer the meat and onion rings alternately. Season with salt, pepper, or a mixture of herbs and spices. 4. Pour kefir over the layers until the meat is completely covered. Let it marinate for 5–6 hours (or overnight). 5. Place the meat pieces in a single layer on a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and bake. After marinating in kefir, the meat cooks very quickly. In just 20–25 minutes, delicious tender meat will be ready. You may add onion pieces along with the meat if desired. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving. Serve hot.
