
Meatballs in tomato sauce
Description

1. Soak the wheat groats in cold water. Finely chop the garlic. Peel and chop the onion. Cut the beans into small pieces. Remove the seeds from the pepper and finely chop it. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and sauté over low heat for about 15 minutes. The onion should not brown. Meanwhile, place the chopped green beans into a saucepan with boiling water.

2. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, 1 chopped garlic clove, salt, and pepper. Thoroughly mix with your hands. In another bowl, combine the mango sauce and chopped parsley, and mix well.

3. Shape the meat mixture into balls the size of a ping-pong ball. Flatten them slightly, place a teaspoon of the mango and parsley mixture in the center, then reshape back into a ball.

4. By this time, the beans and onions should be cooked. Drain the water from the pot with beans, add onions, tomatoes, red pepper, garlic, salt, and pepper to the beans. Cook the mixture over low heat. Strain the wheat cereal through a sieve, squeezing out the remaining liquid by pressing the wheat with a spoon. Break an egg and beat it with a fork.

5. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and increase the heat. Dip each ball into the egg, then coat in wheat grits. Fry the meatballs in heated vegetable oil until cooked through (approximately 6 minutes), turning constantly. Pour sauce over the cooked meatballs.
