Meat nests with creamy mushrooms
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Meat nests with creamy mushrooms are a very tasty and filling dish. This year, I will be preparing these meat nests for the New Year's table, as when I first made them recently, I received a wave of emotions and words of admiration from my family. So I decided to make this dish again, and I think everyone will appreciate it at the festive table. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Finely chop the mushrooms and sauté in vegetable oil until cooked through. Season with salt to taste.
- 3
Step 3

Then add the soft cream cheese, mix and remove from heat.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the ground meat with finely chopped onion (or minced in a food processor), garlic pressed through a garlic press, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- 5
Step 5

Shape the meatballs from the minced meat, making a hollow in the center to resemble a nest. Place the creamy mushroom filling into each hollow.
- 6
Step 6

Top with tomato slices.
- 7
Step 7

Lightly spread with mayonnaise.
- 8
Step 8

On top, place hard cheese grated on a coarse grater. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180°C. If you're afraid the cheese might burn, don't sprinkle it right away—add it only 10-15 minutes before the dish is done. But I added it immediately, and everything turned out fine.
