Meat hedgehogs

Description

The recipe won't take much time. These meatballs go well with any side dish, whether mashed potatoes or buckwheat. If you don't like tomato sauce, use only sour cream—you'll get meatballs in a creamy sauce. You can also use raw rice in the filling, but then they won't be as soft and juicy. Serve the meatballs with sour cream and fresh herbs. Serve hot.

   Boil the rice until half-cooked. Drain the water.

   Finely chop the onion and sauté in vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown.

   In a bowl, mix the ground meat, rice, onion, egg, and half of the tomato sauce. Add salt and pepper. Mix well.

   Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease the baking dish with sour cream. Shape the minced meat into balls of desired form.

   Mix the remaining sour cream and tomato sauce, add salt and pepper, a little water. Stir well and pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls.

   Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove the foil 10 minutes before it's done.
