
Meat Loaves with a Surprise
Description
A charming meat appetizer will delight your family, and inside each little roll there’s a surprise—a carrot! Don’t like carrots? Use any other vegetable that will stand out brightly. Garnish the dish with herbs, add other vegetables, and give it a try. Serve the appetizer at the table.

1. Prepare the necessary ingredients. Boil the carrots in advance and peel them.

2. Mix the ground meat with a raw egg, salt, ground pepper, and meat spices.

3. Cut off the bread’s thick crust, tear the crumb apart with your hands, and add it to the mince; add finely chopped garlic and mix well with a fork.

4. Dice the onion, sauté in a teaspoon of vegetable oil and add to the ground meat; add the corn. Mix.

5. The minced meat is ready.

6. Grease the molds with vegetable oil. Place half of the filling into two molds and pack it down firmly.

7. Place the carrot sticks in the center.

8. Cover with the second half of the filling, pressing down lightly around the edges.

9. Place 3–4 rings of sweet bell pepper in each one—you can use even more. Put the little loaves in a hot oven (180 degrees) for 20 minutes.

10. Mix the sour cream with adjika or tomato sauce. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

11. After 20 minutes, remove the small loaves from the oven, generously pour sauce over them, top with grated cheese, and return to the oven for another 20 minutes.

12. The meat loaves are ready. Let them cool completely.
