Pass the minced meat through a meat grinder together with bread soaked in milk and well squeezed. Add salt, paprika, ground pepper, eggs, and semolina. Mix thoroughly and beat well.

Boil the potatoes in salted water until cooked, then drain the water. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher into a puree and let it cool.

Grate the hard cheese on a grater.

Finely chop the washed and dried herbs.

Chop boiled eggs into small cubes.

Prepare the filling. Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, boiled eggs, yolk, semolina, herbs, and paprika. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Place the minced meat onto a sheet of plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel, forming a rectangular layer about 1 cm thick. My meat layer is approximately 45 by 25 cm in size. Now, evenly and tightly spread the potato filling over it.

It's better to use a long baking pan for rolling cake: rectangular or oval. Cut the parchment paper to the size of the pan, place the cake roll onto it. Transfer the roll with the paper into the pan.

Pierce the roll in several places with a thin skewer and bake for 60–70 minutes at 200 degrees. About 15–20 minutes before the end of cooking, cover the roll with foil so the top doesn't over-bake. You can also brush it with sour cream.
