Description

The recipe won't take much time. Meatloaf is a hearty, impressive, and versatile dish that looks great both on a festive table and as a main course for a family dinner. Tender ground meat combined with aromatic spices creates a juicy base, while the filling of cheese, ham, bacon, and walnuts makes the loaf especially rich and flavorful. It holds its shape well, slices beautifully, and can be served hot or chilled—as a snack. Simple to prepare, yet impressive in result. Serve hot.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Use a mixture of beef and pork mince. The proportions depend on your preferences. If you want a juicier dish, add more pork; for a less caloric and more pronounced flavor, focus on beef. You can also add chicken or turkey mince. Warm the cream in the microwave until lukewarm. Instead of cream, you can use milk. Use spices and herbs as desired.

Using plastic wrap, roll the meat mince with the filling into a tight roll.

  11. 11

    Step 11

Secure the ends of the film and shape the roll. Place the semi-finished product in the refrigerator for stabilization for about 15-20 minutes.

    Step 12

    Step 12

Meanwhile, on a cutting board covered with plastic wrap, arrange bacon strips overlapping each other in a "herringbone" pattern.

  13. 13

Wrap the roll in foil and place it in a baking dish. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. Then, unfold the foil, increase the temperature to 200°C or turn on the "Grill" function if available. Continue baking the roll until the bacon is browned.
