Meat Pie
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The filling for the dough can be very diverse. The dough is universal and pairs well with both savory options (cabbage, potatoes, mushrooms, etc.) and sweet ones (cottage cheese, jam, fruits, etc.). Today I have a very tasty, juicy, and hearty filling made of minced meat and potatoes. The dough in this recipe turns out very successful, tender, and airy. Such baked goods will delight both children and adults. Perfect for a festive table. The baked goods are ready. Serve to the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine warm milk, one egg, salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and yeast.
- 3
Step 3

Mix everything well and leave for 10 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Then add the flour in portions. I used about 350 grams.
- 5
Step 5

The dough should be pliable, but slightly sticky to the hands. Shape it into a ball, brush it with oil, place it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and leave it in a warm place for about 1.5 hours. It should increase in size.
- 6
Step 6

The risen dough needs to be punched down, then let it rise again.
- 7
Step 7

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Combine the minced meat, onion cut into small cubes, and potatoes (the finer the pieces, the better). Add salt, spices, and mix well.
- 8
Step 8

Divide the finished dough into 2 unequal parts; one should be slightly larger than the other.
- 9
Step 9

Divide the smaller one into 4 parts, roll each into a circle, and place the filling in the center.
- 10
Step 10

Carefully pinch the edges, shape the pies into rounds, and place them seam-side down.
- 11
Step 11

Roll out the larger part into a circle and spread the remaining filling on it.
- 12
Step 12

Gather the edges toward the center and pinch them together well.
- 13
Step 13

Now for the most important task! You need to place the shaped pieces seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet in the shape of a tiger paw print. Put the largest piece down first and use your hands to give it the desired shape. The dough is very pliable and incredibly easy to work with. Arrange the smaller pieces on top and shape them into the needed curve with your hands. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes, then brush with egg yolk (you can dilute it slightly with milk). Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. The top should turn golden brown.

Step 14

Very tasty both warm and cooled. Happy upcoming New Year and
