Homemade Meat Loaf
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Homemade meatloaf is a dish made from dense minced meat mixture, baked in the oven as a single "brick"—in other words, a large meat patty. After cooling, the meatloaf is sliced and served. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare the dish, take beef. I used beef chuck, which is a more affordable cut of meat. It's perfect for making dishes like this and for meatballs. Grind the meat in a meat grinder.
- 2
Step 2

Grind onion and garlic through a meat grinder.
- 3
Step 3

Soak the bread in milk. When the bread becomes soft, squeeze out the excess liquid and pass only the crumb through a meat grinder.
- 4
Step 4

Add salt, ground black pepper, 1 chicken egg. You can use other spices to taste or add chopped herbs to the filling.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the minced meat thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

Place the meat mince into a baking dish. Press it down firmly.
- 7
Step 7

Brush the surface of the minced meat with ketchup.
- 8
Step 8

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the meatloaf in the oven. Bake for 1 hour. Slice the cooled meatloaf into pieces. Serve.
