Description

The recipe won't take much time. You can prepare surprisingly delicate peach mousse at home as a healthy snack for children and adults, or as a dessert for a festive table. Optionally, you can top it with coconut flakes or grated chocolate. Serve chilled.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    1. First of all, deal with the peaches. Wash them thoroughly, dry slightly, and carefully remove the skin. Then cut them in half and remove the pits. If desired, you can set aside 1 peach to use for garnishing the mousse when serving. Slice the remaining peaches into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

    2. Place the peeled peaches together with sugar into the blender container and blend until smooth. Adjust the amount of sugar according to the sweetness of the fruit and personal taste preferences. You can also use powdered sugar in the peach mousse recipe.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

    3. To achieve a smooth, airy mousse without lumps, it is best to strain the mixture through a sieve.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

    4. Pour a little freshly squeezed lemon juice into the puree and mix well.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

    5. Put about one third of the purée into a small saucepan or pot and add the gelatin.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

    6. Place over heat and gently warm, without bringing to a boil, so the gelatin dissolves completely. Constantly stir during the process.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

    7. Combine with the remaining puree and mix thoroughly.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

    8. Then you will need to carry out two processes simultaneously. One is to place the peach puree in a container with very cold water (it is advisable to add ice to it).

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

    9. Meanwhile, beat the cream.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

    10. When small curds, resembling cottage cheese, begin to appear in the peach purée, the mousse can be removed from the ice. Mix thoroughly once again.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

    11. The cream needs to be whipped to stiff peaks.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

    12. Add the purée to the cream.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

    13. And once again, beat thoroughly. That's it—the light and delicate homemade peach mousse is ready. You can place a couple of peach pieces at the bottom of the glass or mold in which the mousse will be served.
