
Fish moussaka

Fish moussaka is another variation of the well-known traditional dish. It's quite simple to prepare, and it's presentable enough to serve even at a festive table.

1. The recipe for fish moussaka is quite simple. First, wash, dry, and cut the fish fillet into small pieces. You can use any fish you prefer. Season it with salt and pepper to taste; if desired, add fish spices, dried herbs, or a splash of lemon juice. Let the fish marinate for 15–20 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, you can prepare the potatoes. Wash, dry, and peel them. Slice thinly, season with salt and pepper to taste. Place half of the potatoes at the bottom of a greased heatproof baking dish or one lined with parchment paper.

3. Place the fish on the potatoes, spreading it out in an even layer. Wash and dry the tomato. Slice it thinly and place the slices on top of the fish. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Place the second portion of potatoes on top of the tomatoes. Lightly coat with mayonnaise or sour cream. Grate the cheese on a medium grater and sprinkle it on top.

5. Now you can put the moussaka into a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. When the homemade fish moussaka is ready, let it cool slightly and serve.
