
Cranberry juice from frozen currants

Step 1

1. You can make berry drinks from any berries, even frozen ones. Today I suggest making a drink from frozen red currants. So, take the berries and let them sit at room temperature for a while.

2. In a deep container, mash the berries with a masher until they turn into a puree. Then pass them through a sieve to separate the pulp and juice from the leftover solids.

3. Pour water over the resulting pulp and place over heat.

4. Place the resulting juice with pulp in the refrigerator for a while.

5. When our berry pulp boils in water, add sugar to taste and simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat. After that, let the kissel cool down to room temperature.

6. Add the juice from the refrigerator to the morse, then place back on the heat and bring to a boil, but do not boil! If desired, strain the drink before serving.
