Prepare all the ingredients.

Wash and sort the cranberries. Remove all spoiled berries and debris.

Mash the berries with a masher or blend them in a blender, then strain through a fine sieve. Set the cranberry juice aside.

Transfer the resulting cranberry pulp to a saucepan. Add water and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Then cover with a lid and let it steep for 20 minutes.

Strain through a sieve to remove the pulp.

Add the cranberry juice and mix. Bring back to almost boiling.

Pour the hot cranberry juice into a clean sterilized jar or bottle. Seal the jar, turn it upside down, wrap it in something warm, and leave it until completely cooled.
