Kefir ice cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Ice cream can be made not only from cream, but kefir with berries is a great alternative. Use berries or any other fruits as additions, and it's best to use 2.5% kefir. Serve chilled.

Step 1

1. This recipe is designed for a large number of servings (6-8). If you want to make homemade kefir ice cream for two, use 50 g of sugar and 50 g of strawberries, along with 100 g of kefir. Take the strawberries, sprinkle them with sugar, and place over heat.

Step 2

2. Strawberries with sugar turn into jam after just 15 minutes. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 3

3. Add kefir to the cold mixture and whisk thoroughly. You can even use a blender.

Step 4

4. Pour into molds or into one single mold (but then it will be harder to make balls from it, so molds are better).

Step 5

5. If you like to feel the fruit pieces in the ice cream, mix the mixture with a mixer; if you prefer a smooth consistency, blend it with a blender.

Step 6

6. Place the ice cream in the freezer for 2-3 hours, then it's ready to serve. You can use any fruits, but use kefir as the base.
