Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the carrots. We will bake young carrots on top of the pie. Cut them in half lengthwise and set aside. If you don't have young carrots, slice mature carrots into several thin pieces. This way they will bake better.

Step 2

Knead the tart base dough. Mix flour, butter, salt, and one egg. Roll out the resulting dough into a large disc about half a centimeter thick. Place it into a pie or tart baking pan.
- 3
Step 3

The dough should cover the pan well. Prick the bottom several times with a fork.

Step 4

Chop the remaining carrots into small pieces. Coat them with potato starch and add two eggs.
- 5
Step 5

Celery and sour cream.
- 6
Step 6

Grind and mix everything with a blender.
- 7
Step 7

Place the tart base in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 10 minutes. Then take it out and let it cool slightly for about two minutes. Spread the carrot filling evenly over the base. Arrange carrot slices on top. Bake at the same temperature for 30–40 minutes.
