from puff pastry
Description
Delicious pastry for the whole family. For the filling, you can use not only frozen cherries, but also cherries from compote or syrup. Since puff pastry absorbs moisture faster than in the classic cake recipe, it does not require a long resting time. After 30–40 minutes, the dessert can already be served. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Drain the frozen cherries in a sieve to let the liquid run off.
- 3
Step 3

Divide the pre-thawed dough into strips. In my case, I got 16 pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Roll each strip to a length of 22-25 cm and a width of 7-8 cm.
- 5
Step 5

Sprinkle the desired amount of sugar in the middle of the strip (taking into account the taste of the cherries). Place the cherries.
- 6
Step 6

Secure the strip carefully on all sides.
- 7
Step 7

Transfer the resulting "logs" to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15–20 minutes. Take into account the characteristics of your oven!
- 8
Step 8

Cool the finished "logs".
- 9
Step 9

Make the cream. Mix chilled sour cream with boiled condensed milk.
- 10
Step 10

Assemble the cake. Take a board or a suitable plate. Place 5 baked layers on it. Spread generously with cream.
- 11
Step 11

Place 4 "logs" on top, spread with cream.
- 12
Step 12

Arrange the layers in decreasing size, spreading each one with cream every time. There should be a single layer at the very top. Cover well with cream.
- 13
Step 13

Grate chocolate on top using a fine grater. Leave the cake at room temperature for at least 30 minutes and at most 1 hour. After that, the cake can be served.
- 14
Step 14

The baked goods are ready. Serve with tea.
