Coconut milk
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Making coconut milk is quite a lengthy and labor-intensive process, but the result is not only a healthy drink, but also two additional products—valuable coconut oil and fine coconut flakes, which are perfect for baking and various desserts. Can be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare natural and healthy coconut milk, you only need coconut and water. Wash the nut thoroughly and dry it with a paper towel.
- 2
Step 2

The coconut has 3 eyes, one of which is softer than the others. Using a sharp knife, make a hole in it and drain the juice into a separate container.
- 3
Step 3

After all the liquid has drained from the coconut, split it in half using a hammer.
- 4
Step 4

Remove the pulp from the peel and discard the brown skin, then rinse the pulp with water to remove any remaining bits of the membrane.
- 5
Step 5

Grate the prepared coconut flesh on a fine grater.
- 6
Step 6

Bring the water to a boil and pour it over the grated pulp, stir, and let it cool to a warm state (approximately 1-1.5 hours).
- 7
Step 7

Blend the cooled mixture with an immersion blender to better separate the coconut milk.
- 8
Step 8

Strain the coconut milk through cheesecloth or a suitable cloth, squeezing the pulp well. You can later dry the pulp and use it for baking.
- 9
Step 9

Combine the resulting milk with the coconut juice poured out of the hole (strain the juice if necessary) and let the drink cool.
- 10
Step 10

After this, the coconut milk is ready to use. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
