
Milk kissel with Charlotte berries
Description
There is nothing complicated about preparing kissel. Kissels are usually made with corn or potato starch. Kissel is quick to prepare. Milk, jams, syrups, dried or fresh berries can be added to milk-based kissels. It can be served.

1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks, then in a bowl, rub the yolks with sugar until they turn pale.

2. Then add the starch and dilute the mixture with one cup of milk (cold milk). Heat the milk to boiling. Then reduce the heat so the milk simmers gently. Pour the prepared mixture into the milk in a thin stream, constantly stirring!

3. Now remove the prepared kissel from the heat. Prepare a large bowl or basin, pour cold water into it, and place the pot with the kissel into the water. Whisk the kissel continuously until it cools completely.

4. Add zest and vanilla sugar to the cooled jelly, and optionally include almond or vanilla essence. Pour the prepared jelly into serving glasses and add well-rinsed and dried berries. The berries can be previously frozen to make the jelly even more refreshing.
