
Moldovan placinte with green onions
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. These are tasty, quick-to-make flatbreads. There are many variations for preparing the dough and fillings for placinte. I suggest making Moldovan flatbreads with onion and egg. These flatbreads are delicious both cold and hot. Give them a try—this dish is sure to win everyone over. Serve cooled down or slightly warm.

Add 2 eggs, salt, and vegetable oil to the kefir. Mix well and gradually add flour, kneading the dough. Let it rest for 30 minutes, covered with a towel.

For the filling, finely chop the onion and squeeze it by hand to release its juice. Grate the cheese and boiled 4 eggs into the onion.

Divide the dough into 6-7 pieces, and roll each piece into a thin flatbread. Make small cuts around the edge of each flatbread.

Place some filling in the center of the flatbread.

Fold each cut edge of the flatbread inward toward the center of the filling.

Lightly roll out each placinta dough piece with a rolling pin. Fry the flatbreads on a hot skillet on both sides until golden brown. Once all the placintas are fried, cover them with a towel so they become soft.
